I am building a home based lab to test a variety of algae that I plan to collect locally in an attempt to find an algae strain that has a high percentage of oil. Phase two I will build a Photo Bio Reactor to grow that strain and harvest the oil to augment the yellow grease I already source from local restaurants. I have two Diesel power vehicles, one burns Biodiesel that I make in my garage and the second vehicle has been converted to burn Straight Vegetable Oil (SVO).

The algae are growing!
Now it's time to order some algae samples that are known to produce oil and to begin working on a photo bio-reactor.
