I am building a home based lab to test a variety of algae that I plan to collect locally in an attempt to find an algae strain that has a high percentage of oil. Phase two I will build a Photo Bio Reactor to grow that strain and harvest the oil to augment the yellow grease I already source from local restaurants. I have two Diesel power vehicles, one burns Biodiesel that I make in my garage and the second vehicle has been converted to burn Straight Vegetable Oil (SVO).

My setup
My entire lab sits on a balcony with a southern exposure in my flat in San Francisco. I have two balcony's so one is my lab and the other will be for my future Photo Bio Reactor.
